Kathina {new robe ceremony} will be celebrated at Buu Mon Temple on 28 Oct 2007, The High ordination for Bhante Kassapa is scheduled for 12:30 Sunday afternoon. There will be a large turnout for the Kathina and High Ordination as the Bamboo Festival is held at the same time. & Americans will take the precepts and officially become Buddhist followers and well as the temporary ordination of the 3 Americans, 2 as novice monks and 1 as a novice nun. The New Robes Ceremony or Kathina celebration is offered each year at the end of the traditional rainy seasons retreat. This year at Buu Mon Buddhist Temple there will also be a Bikkhu Ordination of Bhante Kassapa into the Vietnamese Community of monks. Public is invited free of charge.
